Terms of booking for Sjötorp’s Hostel
Booking and information
When you wish to book a room, or ask for more information, you are welcome to contact the hostel directly.
Sjötorp’s hostel are required to make sure that:
- you receive a written confirmation of your booking
- the room is as advertised in descriptions and images
You can check in to the hostel between 15:00 and 22:00
and checkout before 11:00
We do not take responsibility for possible typos on the websites.
If you are dissatisfied with your room, you can contact the owner, which almost always is on the premises.
When do my booking become binding?
You can cancel your booking 2 hours before arrival.
When do I pay?
You will never need to pay in advance. Payment always happens when you check in.
What if I want to cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking by either phone or by email/sms. It is also possible to cancel your booking using the link in the booking confirmation that you receive by email.
What are my obligations?
You have to take care of the room/rooms and follow the code of conduct and other rules at the hostel. You are responsible for yourself and your company, as well as any damages that may be inflicted on the property and its furnishings.
You may not use the room/rooms for anything other than what was agreed upon during the booking and cannot allow more people to stay in the room than was agreed upon.
It is possible for more people to stay in a room than what was advertised for that room, but only upon agreement with the owner. The hostel claims the right to charge extra for this.
If you lose your key, you are required to pay 300 SEK for a replacement.
Cleaning and bed-linen
In Hög standard rooms:
Rooms & Breakfast: Cleaning of the room is included in the price. Breakfast, bed-linen, and towels is also included in the price of the room.
In Standard rooms:
Wars, natural disasters, strikes and more…
Both the guest and the host reserves the right to cancel the agreement if the room/rooms can’t be provided due to acts of war, natural disasters, market conflicts, longer interruptions in water and energy supply, accidental fire, or other significant events of the this nature that could not have been predicted or anticipated. The host is in this case required to repay what the guest payed, excluding any value that has already been used.
To keep in mind
The nature: During the summer there will some presence of flies, wasps, and other insects around the vicinity of the hostel. Sjötorp’s Hostel cannot be made responsible for possible spider webs inside or ants on the grounds. In the event of larger infestations of insects, the owner must be notified as soon as possible. Sjötorp’s Hostel cannot be held responsible for activities outside the grounds of the hostel, such as roadwork or similar activities.
